This video recommends the healthy use of distraction to improve mood, take our mind off pain or malaise, and to even improve physiological functioning. Although orthogonal to mindfulness practice, it is an effective, quick, easy, and pleasant self-treatment whenever we’re not feeling well. The next time you’re not feeling well, put on some music that deeply moves you and notice how it can actually improve both signs and symptoms. Anything that is soothing, calming, or inspiring helps us feel better and get better.
